Returns Policy

Below you will find all the details required should you wish to return any product purchased from Barricade Ltd. This policy is in accordance with our terms and conditions and does not affect your statutory rights.

RETURNING YOUR PRODUCTS:

Before you get in touch about returning a product, please ensure you have read this returns policy in its entirety.
If you wish to return a product to Barricade Ltd, please get in touch with our support team by emailing returns@barricade.co.uk with the following details:

  • Your full contact details (name, address, email, phone number)
  • Your web order number (e.g. 1707001) / or purchase order number
  • The product(s) from the order you wish to return
  • The reason for the return
  • Photographs of the product(s)

Once our team have received your email featuring all of the details requested above, they will contact you with details of the next steps, which will be in accordance with the policy set out below and supported by our terms and conditions.

CANCELLING YOUR ORDER BEFORE DELIVERY:

If you purchase a product from Barricade Ltd, you may cancel your order at any time before dispatch – you will not be charged for cancelling your order at this point.*

*Please note that this does not apply to made to order, built to order or customised products.

WHAT WILL I BE REFUNDED IF I CANCEL THE ORDER BEFORE IT HAS BEEN DISPATCHED?

Consumer: (A person who purchases for their own use, rather than a business): Full refund*

Business: Full value of contract value*

Consumer and Business: You will be charged a manufacturing fee of up to 100% of the contract value.

If your order is cancelled once the order is in transit, a £65 (ex VAT) cancellation fee will be charged to cover the aborted delivery.

CANCELLING YOUR ORDER AFTER DELIVERY:

You may cancel your order within 14 days after the day of delivery, subject to the following conditions:

  • The product must be returned to us unused, as new and in undamaged condition. You must return goods in their original packaging with all shrink wrap and banding around the pallet still intact to protect the goods while in transit*
  • The return will be subject to a restocking fee which is 25% of the value of the returned product, plus a collection fee of £200 (ex VAT)
  • Once the product has been installed, it cannot be returned, and the purchase price cannot be refunded
  • Returns or cancellations will not be accepted if the product has been altered or customised in any way (including applying chemicals or paint), or been modified in any way that could be deemed as using or treating the products as your property

IF YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND:

You maintain the right to return a product that you have purchased within 14 days after the delivery date for any reason. Should you wish to return a product that has been delivered, you will be charged a restocking fee (25% of the returned product(s) value) and a collection fee of £200 (ex VAT)**

The product must be returned to us unused, as new and in undamaged condition. You must return goods in their original packaging with all shrink wrap and banding around the pallet still intact to protect the goods while in transit. Returned products will be checked upon arrival and we will contact you with a report regarding the condition of the returned item. Additional fees may apply for products returned in a damaged condition that we were not been made aware of and in accordance with this policy. If you have ordered a made to order, built to order or customised product a manufacturing fee of 100% of the contract value is applicable and no refund will apply.

**Please note all products are returnable however if made to order, built to order or customised products, we reserve the right to charge a manufacturing fee of up to 100%.

DAMAGED PRODUCT(S):

Before accepting the delivery, it is your responsibility to ensure that the products have been thoroughly checked for signs of damage. In the unlikely event that you have received a damaged product, and have chosen to accept the delivery, you should sign the delivery note as “damaged” and notify us of any damage within 72 hours of delivery by emailing returns@barricade.co.uk

For damaged goods which have been correctly reported, we can either provide a replacement product (see section below) or issue a full refund. Refunds and replacement products will be issued subject to inspection by our team upon collection of the product. We will organise collection from the delivery address on the original order, but until the product is successfully collected, it is your responsibility to take reasonable care of them; including securing, packaging and/or storage of the products to prevent further damage. Following collection and inspection, and provided we are satisfied that the goods have been damaged in transit or otherwise before delivery, a full refund or replacement product will be issued.

Please be aware that replacement products can vary. As explained in our terms and conditions, products may not be identical to the items being replaced as colours and shades of galvanising can vary by batch.

REPLACING A SPECIFIC PART FOR A PRODUCT:

On some occasions, damage to a product can be resolved by replacing a damaged part instead of replacing the entire unit. So long as damage is reported to us in accordance to the policy set out in the damaged product(s) section above, we will send out a replacement part free of charge.

Please be aware that replacement products and parts can vary. As explained in our terms and conditions, products may not be identical to the items being replaced as colours and shades of galvanising can vary by batch.

FAULTY PRODUCT:

If you believe that you have received a product that may be faulty, you will need to email returns@barricade.co.uk within 72 hours of delivery detailing the fault and including photographs clearly showing the issue. You must also include your order number, delivery address and contact details.

Once we have assessed your information, we will either arrange for a replacement part to be sent to the original delivery address or organise collection and full replacement of the faulty product. For products being collected, you must ensure that all product packaging, pallet banding and shrink wrapping is intact. Faulty products will be subject to a thorough inspection upon return before any replacement product can be issued. If the goods are found to be faulty, replacement parts or products will be issued free of charge. If we collect an item from you that is found not to be faulty, we will charge for the cost of returning the goods or deduct it from any refund that has been issued.

If you wish to cancel your order based on a product fault, please refer to change of mind returns section detailed above.

WRONG PRODUCT:

If the product or products delivered are not what you have ordered, or do not match the exact description shown on your order confirmation email, please email returns@barricade.co.uk immediately and we will arrange collection of the wrong item and delivery of the correct item.

MISSING PRODUCT(S):

Upon delivery of your order, it is your responsibility to check all items against the delivery note ensuring that the correct number of packages, parcels or pallets have been delivered. Any shortages should be reported to returns@barricade.co.uk within 72 hours of delivery. Missing products reported within 72 hours of delivery will be reissued free of charge.

LATE CLAIMS:

As detailed above, you have 72 hours to report a missing/incorrect/damaged/faulty product or 14 days to cancel your order and request a return for any other reason*. If we have not heard from you within this period, it will be assumed that you have accepted the goods. Claims made after this timeframe will be subject to our discretion and we reserve the right to decide whether to repair, replace or issue a refund.

REFUNDS:

Where applicable, refunds will be processed within 3 – 5 working days and all payments will be credited to the original card holder’s payment card/provider, or bank account used for BACS transfers.
